How to Do American Girl Doll Hairstylesthat Are Easy
Does your doll need a new spring style? Today I'm sharing my favorite easy hairstyles you can do to give your doll's hair some love. Click the links below to go straight to the tutorials and get started! :)
First we have on Lea, a gorgeous floral braid. Using silk flowers is a great way to dress up a simple hairstyle.
The elastic waterfall hairstyle looks lovely on short doll hair, like Kit.
With the easy ponytail veil you can dress it up with accessories or leave as is for a casual look. :)
A knotted updo is perfect for textured doll hair. It fits Addy's time period nicely too!
For dolls with curly hair, try out a twisted ponytail. No worries, this style will keep your doll's curls still looking fabulous!
A triple braided hairstyle is so eye-catching and beautiful! Add a hair bow for a finishing touch.
I love these cute low mini buns! Great for those higher temperature days.
Better than a waterfall twist, is a double waterfall twist!
If your doll needs a fancier hairstyle, you can do a half-up braided bun!
I just love using silk flowers with spring styles! Place flowers around a simple bun or at the side of your doll's hair. There's are so many ways to accessorize with them. You can find silk flowers at any craft store, they are very inexpensive and look gorgeous! :)

Get your doll ready for Valentine's Day or any day with a pretty heart braid! This style is much easier than it looks and takes only a few steps. I love how it turned out on Saige's red hair. :) I'll show you how to do it too, let's get started!
1. Make two small braids on the side of your doll's head, leaving space between them. 2. Twist each braid up and around, left braid to the left, right braid to the right. Pin with bobby pins. This will be the top of the heart. 4. Bring both braids together with another clear hair elastic. Once it is secure, take out the other elastics. 5. Tie off the style with a cute ribbon bow, and you're done!!
So beautiful!! I think it would be lovely to match your doll with this hairstyle too. :)
If you try it out, share it with us! You can send a picture to email@americangirlfan.com or tag me on Instagram @creativedollcrafts.
